Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is a diagnosis given to children who have long-term, ongoing difficulties with understanding and/ or using language that are not associated with another condition. These difficulties have a significant impact on a person socially and in education.
If a child speaks more than one language, DLD will affect all of these languages.
